For just one tender morsel

A helpful hand has placed them there

Though they be hard to see

The tiny little breadcrumbs

That point the way back home

I feed up your word each day

It’s all I really need

Yet I long to know if others

Hear the message that I see

That there’s a point to trying

There is living in the dying

There’s a blessing in each breadcrumb

That points the way back home

When the fog is thick and settles

On this dark and dreary land

Let me see the cloud of witnesses

Who before me stand

They fought the fight, they ran the race

Like the one marked out for me

I’ll keep looking for the breadcrumbs
